Bio:

Although Shaun Asher excelled in team sports and played basketball professionally, he always had a fondness for mixed martial arts. With his natural athleticism, Asher managed to turn that interest into a successful career that should have him on the radar of the sport’s bigger promotions.

“My friends had trained and my uncle was a boxer, so I always wanted to get into it,” Asher said. “So I started training and eventually I fell in love with the sport.”

Currently training at Team Vision MMA and working on his conditioning at Powerhouse Gym, Asher is undefeated as a professional and trains with the likes of Bellator tournament champion Daniel Straus and former The Ultimate Fighter cast member Victor O’Donnell.

“You can’t be off your game at all and go to Vision and try to train,” Asher said. “It’s a battle every day in there.”

Asher currently works anywhere from eight to 12 hours a day at his full-time job before going to train, but hopes before too long that Bellator or the UFC will take an interest.

“I’m 4-0 with international fighting experience, so I feel like a couple more fights and I should get something big,” he said.
