Brandon Demastes

Brandon Demastes (4-3 am) has already begun to make a name for himself in the mixed martial arts world. Training out of Team On Point in Buckhannon, West Virginia, Demastes’s MMA career began under the tutelage of his head trainer, the founder of Team On Point and owner of OPA, Chad Marsh.

Having excelled in multiple sports in high school, Demastes’s natural athletic ability was apparent early on. At the urging of Marsh, Demastes began his MMA career. Opening his amateur career with a 48 second TKO win over Blake Dawson, Demastes then ran into a tough Dave Heidorn at Intimidation Cage Fighting: Sacrifice. Agreeing to move up a weight class for the Heidorn fight, Demastes and Heidorn put on what everyone in the crowd and media present agreed was the Fight of the Night performance. Demastes lost a hard-fought decision, but then rebounded with back to back wins over Justin Hunt and Wendell Hurless, the latter match earning him the Intimidation Cage Fighting amateur lightweight title.

Working just as hard outside the cage as he does inside, Demastes works hard as a college student moving toward a career in criminal justice and federal law enforcement while still finding time to work as an assistant coach to high school and middle school wrestling teams, in addition to finding the time for his own training.
